Where do I start?
This is a question that most of us ask as we begin our adventure into Internet Marketing. For the Average Joe just getting started, it can seem like a mountain that you cannot scale. All the new terms, the “techy” stuff and on and on.
Here are a few things you need to do as you begin:
1. Find a mentor. We either learn from the mistakes of others or we learn from our own mistakes. What is the best way to learn? From the mistakes of others! Find someone who has been there. Seek them out. Email them. Call them. What do you have to lose?
2. Do some research. Look at what others are doing. Check out some of the “rockstars”. Justin Brooks http://sitefling.com/blog/, Russell Brunson http://www.dotcomsecrets.com/blog, Alejandro Reyes http://successfool.com/ , to name a few.
3. Decide why you want to do this. Why do you want to do this? You need to develop a vision for what is ahead. This will help you keep the passion for success when times are hard. For me, I want to be financially free and not have to depend on someone else for a paycheck, and I want more time with my family.
4. Take action. Do something. You will never get to where you want to be by wishing. You will never become successful and get out of debt by thinking about it. Walt Disney said, “While the worriers are worrying, the planners are planning, and the accountants are figuring out why we can’t afford it, I’m busy getting started.”
Today, let’s get started. Make up your mind that today you will take at least one small step toward your destiny.
