Casting Vision
If we are going to be successful in our endeavors we must learn to cast the vision for our product or organization. Without this people will not know where we are going or why they should follow us. To begin to cast the vision there are three things that we must look at.
Number 1 – the present problem. You must present the present problem so everyone can be on board with what is going on. Bob Franquiz states in his new book, Zero to Sixty, “before you can tell people about the glorious future you have planned, you have to create a dissatisfaction with the status quo”. For example, if your product is in the weight loss niche then you must begin to create dissatisfaction with being overweight. You have to lay out the problem with whatever it is you are picking.
Once you have done that then you can move on to Number 2- the proposed solution. Here is where you take it to the next step. You are able to tell people why they need to buy your product or join your organization. Back to our example. We have laid out the problem. The person knows that they are overweight and all the health risks associated with it. Now you begin to tell them about your product and how it will help them overcome the problem they have.
Now on to Number 3- the potential action. It’s all fine and good that they know they have a problem and there is an answer, but they now need to take action. This is where many people blow it. They don’t close the deal so to speak. If you want your potential customer to take action tell them what action you want them to take. Back to the example. They have heard the problem, have seen the solution, now what? Do they sign up for this newsletter, or buy this DVD, or sign up and become a member? You fill in the blank of what action you want them to take. If you do not ask they will not do it on their own.
So, as you begin to cast the vision for your organization, include these three things and you will see a difference in your outcome.
Keep going higher and don’t look back.
